As I was throwing down some epic dance moves in my kitchen I thought to myself - I should make a beer about this, and that is exactly what I did. This amazing beer label re-imagines a rotating character from the St. Vincent universe, Johnny, as a 70’s style instructional dance. “In 2023, I wanted to re-invent The Johnny much like St. Vincent re-invents her characters on each album. I took inspiration from her album, Masseduction, and re-imagined the sad song ‘Happy Birthday Johnny’ as a sexy birthday present instead - with a certain guitar vixen popping out of the design akin to popping out of a birthday cake. This delicious beer is a Tart Rose Ale brewed with hibiscus, rose petals, strawberries and raspberries."

“An Evening with Johnny is a high concept beer. Forgotten Boardwalk brewed a Tart Rose Ale, conditioned it with blueberries and sweet cherries and placed it into a singular bourbon barrel. We dubbed the beer a ‘New York Sour’ and it is inspired by St Vincent’s piano rendition album, MassEducation. My favorite part of the design is the set list hidden on the piano that reads ‘I’m Not Drunk But the Piano Is.’”
